Course Focus: This course supports Year 12 students in producing authentic, original, and confident academic responses, with a strong emphasis on independent thinking, authorship, and academic integrity. Course Content: Approximately 60% essay writing, 20% creative writing, and 20% assessment support. Skills Developed: - Developing original, conceptually driven arguments - Writing with confidence and authority while maintaining academic rigour - Sustaining fluency, cohesion, and clarity across extended responses - Integrating textual evidence with precision and purposeful insight - Strengthening independent voice and ethical academic practice Weekly homework is assigned to consolidate fluency, originality, and confidence in senior writing. Additional Information: While the writing skills align with the NSW English syllabus, course content may not directly correspond to individual school texts or assessments. Outcome: Students demonstrate stronger authorial voice, increased originality, and greater confidence in producing independent, high-quality academic work. A review task is conducted to monitor progress across the term.
