Course Description

Program Structure Lessons focus on approximately 50% essay writing, 20% content alignment, 15% discursive writing, and 15% creative writing, with increasing emphasis on analytical precision and sustained argument. Learning Objectives This program supports students in refining academic writing skills required for secondary and senior study. Students are coached to strengthen argument development, structure, and formal expression, while learning to apply writing strategies flexibly across different tasks and assessment types. Content & Alignment While the program does not provide direct instruction on individual school texts, students are supported to align their writing skills with school-based themes, rubrics, and assessment expectations. Given that schools vary in prescribed texts and interpretive approaches, students are expected to bring a working understanding of their school content, which is then used to develop stronger analytical and written responses. A portion of lesson time is dedicated to clarifying and aligning this content where required. Outcomes Through targeted practice and refinement, students are expected to develop greater confidence in analytical writing, improved structural control, and the ability to maximise their strengths in sustained academic responses.
