Course Description
Course content: Approximately 50% persuasive writing and 50% creative writing. Objectives: The lessons are customised to help students boost and maintain their performance in writing. Students will be coached on how best to work with their strengths and weaknesses in persuasive and creative writing. Content Specificity: Students will be prompted to respond to thought-provoking questions that target both critical and creative thinking. Outcome: By working on both their strengths and weaknesses in critical and creative thinking, students are expected to develop greater confidence in their writing.
Administration
/ Schedule: 2025 Term 4 starts on Monday 13th OCTOBER and ends on Friday 19th DECEMBER (10 weeks/sessions). / Cooling-off period: Students may withdraw from the course immediately after the first session; before the second session. / Cancellations: No sessions in part or in whole may be cancelled after the cooling-off period. / Rescheduling: No sessions in part or in whole may be rescheduled. If a student misses a class, they may sit another class of the same level in the same week. Otherwise, the student will be emailed the class content to catch up on. / Communication (holidays): 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM are teaching hours during the holidays. 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM are consulting hours.
